Why not add free data sources?

We did!

You can get historical stock market data from Yahoo, you can post data from EOD data services (FREE!) and post free daily data for the SP500.

We may add other free sources but there are two major problems with most free data sources: The data is often of questionable accuracy and free data sources close down without notice.

There is information in the manual that will allow you to use data from other sources such as acsii export files.
